In mining towns in northern France, and specifically in the town of Barlin, a house number is an element of its identity and is used as a suffix to the resident's name -
Jacqueline of No 12, Chantal of No 8...

Bertille achieves these "stolen portraits" before the destruction of the houses.

Installation specifically created for the vaults of the Bank of France, at Lab-Labanque, centre of production and diffusion of visual arts.
